Assam MBBS Admission 2023 Notification
Assam MBBS Admission 2023: The DME department of Assam has invited the eligible candidates for MBBS/BDS counselling who have qualified in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test 2023 (UG) or NEET UG 2023 conducted by the National Testing Agency for 1st year MBBS Admission in Government Medical College and 1st year BDS admission in Government Dental Colleges in Assam.
The online registration for the Assaam MBBS Counselling 2023 and Assam BDS Counselling 2023 started on 25 July 2023 and the last date of online registration is 29 July 2023. Candidates who have qualified in the NEET 2023 UG Exam can register themselves for the BDS/MBBS Counselling program for admission into Assam Government Medical & Dental Colleges.
This year, a total of 38,171 candidates from Assam have qualified in NEET UG 2023 Exam. These candidates are eligible for Assam MBBS/BDS Counselling for MBBS and BDS Admission in Assam Govt Medical and Dental Colleges. In Assam Government Medical Colleges there are only 1550 MBBS Seats

Assam MBBS/BDS Admission Process 2023
Assam MBBS Admission / Assam BDS Admission 2023: The Directorate of Medical Education of Assam is responsible for the BDS and MBBS admission into the Government Medical Colleges and Government Dental Colleges in Assam. So, the Assam MBBS Admission process is conducted by the Assam DME Department. MBBS Admission in Assam 2023 and BDS Admission in Assam 2023 are based on the NEET 2023 score of a candidate.
The Assam NEET counselling programme will be conducted in 2 rounds. The first Counselling Programme for Assam MBBS Counselling 2023 and Assam BDS Counselling 2023 online registration is going on. The Last date for online registration is 29 July 2023.
MBBS Admission for NRI in Assam
Candidates willing to apply for NRI/NRI sponsored quota for admission into MBBS course in Government Medical Colleges of Assam are directed to submit an application in the format available on the Directorate of Medical Education Official Website @dme.assam.gov.in
Candidates can submit their filled-up application form along with all the relevant documents to the office on or before 27 July 2023. As per the notification, applications sent by Post will not be accepted. Candidates are also requested to collect their recipe of acknowledgement at the time of submission of their forms.
Candidates living abroad need to send a scanned copy of the filled-in application form and all the required documents on or before 26 July 2023 by email at [email protected].
Assam MBBS Admission Eligibility Criteria
Assam MBBS and BDS Eligibility: Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria to take admitted to MBBS Course at Assam Medical Colleges and BDS Course at Assam Dental Colleges.
- The candidate must be a citizen of India.
- Candidate must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination with a minimum of 50% marks in Science Stream
- Candidates must have cleared NEET Exam.
How to Register for Assam MBBS/BDS Counselling?
Students who have qualified in the NEET UG 2023 Exam can apply for the 1st round of online counselling for 1st year of MBBS Admission 2023 and 1st year of BDS Admission 2023 in Government Medical & Dental College. The online registration for online counselling starts on 25 July 2023 and the last date of online registration is 29 July 2023.

- Fill out the registration form carefully with proper detail and Submit

PwD (DIVYANG) Document Verification
The Directorate of Medical Education Assam has issued a notification to inform all the candidates, whose names appeared in the Assam state NEET-UG-2023 merit list under the PwD (DIVYANG) Category and who are otherwise eligible as per MBBS/BDS courses admission rules 2017 amended upto 2023, for admission into MBBS and BDS courses in the Government Medical and Dental Colleges of Assam for the Academic Session 2023-24.
The document Verification process for such candidates is scheduled on 26 and 27 July 2023 at the office of the Principal cum Superintendent of Gauhati Medical College &Hospital, Guwahati.
