SAMARTH Online Admission Portal 2025 Notification
Assam State Higher Education Admission Portal: The Assam Higher Education Department has released a notification for all HSLC pass students and degree holders regarding admission to the 4-Year Undergraduate Courses and 5-Year Integrated Masters Programmes offered by Government, Private, Provincialised Colleges, and State Universities across Assam.
The admission registration has officially started, and all students must apply through the SAMARTH Admission Portal. The Registration for the non-CUET students began on 11 April 2025. The last date for application for non- CUET students are on 22 May 2025.
SAMARTH Admission Portal 2025
The Directorate of Higher Education Assam has launched SAMARTH Admission Portal on 14 June 2023. SAMARTH Admission Portal is a common application portal of Assam where students can apply online for admission to undergraduate courses in the state universities (affiliated colleges). On this portal, students can submit admission applications for undergraduate courses like BA, BSc, Bcom etc.
The Assam State Higher Education Portal or SAMARTH egov Portal will provide a common platform and equal opportunities to candidates across the state, especially for rural and other remote areas and help establish better connections with the universities.
Like Samarth Portal, the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) have launched “Darpan Online Admission Portal” on 2021 for admission into Higher secondary courses for the Class 10 pass students. On the same note, the Assam govt has launched the admission portal (Samarth) for the graduate courses.
Samarth Portal – List of Participating Universities
From the Official website of Samarth @https://assamadmission.samarth.ac.in/, we can see the list of participating universities. To date, the Samarth eGov Portal has listed out the 26 state universities where class 12 pass-out students can apply for taking admission into the colleges for their undergraduate course.
Each universities have its own affiliated colleges where the students can seek admission. With the introduction of the Samarth ePortal, students don’t have to physically visit the college for admission, they can register at Samarth and apply at the college where he/she wants to take admission.

Students who have cleared HS final exam can submit applications to take admission to Colleges and Universities in Assam through SAMARTH Online Admission Portal. Students can apply for undergraduate admission through the SAMARTH portal by following the below-mentioned steps:
- Visit the SAMARTH e-gov Official Website https://assamadmission.samarth.ac.in/
- Click on the “New Registration” button.
- Read the instruction carefully.
- Complete the registration process.
- Upload the required documents.
- Submit and take a printout of the application receipt
Important Dates
The admission schedule will be divided into two phases:
CUET Students: Those who have appeared for the CUET exam will need to wait for their results before applying to any college under the Common University system.
Non-CUET Students: Students who have not appeared for the CUET exam can proceed with the admission process earlier and secure their seats faster.
