Public Prosecutor Eligibility Criteria
Public Prosecutor Educational Qualification: To be eligible for the Public Prosecutor Vacancy in the Home and Political Department of Assam, candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized University of India or an Institute recognized by the Government of Assam or by the University Grants Commission.
Service Qualification
Public Prosecutor: Having practice as an Advocate including in the High Court for a period of not less than 8 eight years on the criminal side
Other Posts: Having practiced as an Advocate including in the High Court for a period of not less than 7 eight years on the criminal side
Public Prosecutor Age Limit: As per Government norms; relaxable by 5 years for SC/ ST candidates, 3 years for OBC/ MOBC candidates; 10 years for Persons with Disabilities, and for Ex-Servicemen shall be 50 (fifty) years for Unreserved categories, and shall be relaxed by 3 (three) years for OBC/MOBC candidates and 5 (five) years for SC/ST candidates.
