Assam Cabinet Meeting 31 January 2025: During the recent Assam Cabinet meeting held on January 31, 2025, under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, several key decisions were taken. These include approval of three key industrial policies, Extension of Mission Basundhara, exemption of specific communities from 3 Gen Rule, guidelines for MMUA-N, Dept of Innovation, Incubation & Startup and New Rural roads.
Assam Cabinet Meeting Decision 31 January 2025
The following are the key Cabinet decisions highlighted in the recent meeting.
1. The cabinet approved three key industrial policies-
- Assam Stratup and Innovation Policy 2025
- Assam Aerospace and Defence manufacturing Policy 2025
- Assam Action Plan on Bio E3 Policy
2. The cabinet has approved the extension of the application date of Mission Basundhara 3.0 until February 15.
3. The cabinet has approved the exemption of 3 generation domicile policies in the review of Mision Basundhara 2.0 and rejected applications to Koch Rajbongshi, Moran, Mataak, chutia, and Ahom communities.
4. The cabinet has approved the extension of benefits for Apon Ghar.
5. The cabinet has approved improvements to 219 rural roads in tea garden areas across 19 districts.
6. The cabinet has approved the creation of a new administrative department focused on Innovation, Incubation, and Startups.
7. The cabinet has approved guidelines for the implementation of MMUA-N.
