The 57th Annual Conference of ABSU
The ABSU is hosting its 57th Annual Conference, continuing a tradition that started in 1967. This annual event aims to promote unity within the Bodo community and assess the progress of the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR). Over four days, the conference will feature educational seminars, cultural performances, literary and sports competitions, exhibitions, and a book fair, highlighting the region’s rich heritage and development.
The 2025 Annual Conference is scheduled at Bodofa Fwthar in Dotma, Kokrajhar District. Dipen Boro, the President of ABSU, announced the event on the official Facebook page, emphasizing the ongoing preparations for this significant occasion.
The 57th ABSU Annual Conference officially began with the laying of the foundation. On February 2, 2025, the ABSU district and Anchalik committees initiated preparations for the event, which is set to take place at Bodofa Fwthar in Dotma, Kokrajhar.
During the ABSU Annual Conference 2025, many sports competitions, as well as dancing and Debate competitions, were held, contributing to the success and peaceful atmosphere of the program.
ABSU Extends a Formal Invitation to Union Ministers
ABSU has formally invited Union Minister Shri Amit Shah, the Ministry of Home Affairs, to attend the 57th ABSU Annual Conference as the Chief Guest on either March 15 or 16, where over three lakh people are expected to participate.
Additionally, Dr Dharmendra Pradhan, the Union Minister of Education, will be a special guest on March 14, 2025. The conference will host a Youth Conclave themed “Empowering Youth for Viksit Bharat, for a Vibrant Bodoland,” expecting the participation of 30,000 students, teachers, and young people on March 14.
Both the Honorable Ministers have confirmed their attendance at the event, a pivotal moment for the youth of Bodoland.
