Tamulpur Paramedical And Nursing Institute Foundation Stone
On February 7, 2025, a significant step was taken to enhance healthcare education in the BTR region. BTR CEM Pramod Boro, along with MLA Shri Jolen Daimary, EMs Shri Daobaisa Boro and Shri Ranendra Narzary, MCLAs Shri Pabitra Boro and Shri Bijit Gwra Narzary, and several other dignitaries, laid the foundation stone for a new Paramedical and Nursing Institute in Tamulpur District.
Paramedical And Nursing Institute in BTR
According to the BTR Peace Accord of 2020, the Assam government was required to implement specific educational developments in the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), including establishing a paramedical and nursing institute. You can refer to the agreement PDF, on Page 8, Annexure II, Point N. 15, which outlines the paramedical and nursing institute mandated by the Assam government.
There are no government paramedical institutes in the entire BTR; however, several private nursing institutes operate in the area. The upcoming Paramedical and Nursing Institute in BTR will enable students to pursue medical education locally, eliminating the need to travel to cities for their studies.
The BTR government has recently laid the foundation stone for a new regional medical institute. The Paramedical and Nursing Institute in Tamulpur will provide aspiring healthcare professionals with high-quality training, creating new opportunities for youth and enhancing medical services throughout BTR.
