What is JEE Main – Session 2
The JEE Main is a national level entrance exam conducted by the NTA for admission to undergraduate engineering (B.E/B.Tech) and architecture (B.Arch/Planning) programmes in India.
JEE Main Session 2 is the second phase of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main, which is conducted for students who either missed Session 1 or want to improve their scores.
JEE Main 2025 Session 2 Notification
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the registration for the JEE Main 2025 session 2 exam. The applicants can register at the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in from 01 February to 25 February 2025.
JEE Main 2025 is being held in two sessions – first in January and the second in April. The first session which started on 22 January 2025 concluded on 30 January 2025.
The second session of JEE Main 2025 exam will be held between 1 April and 8 April 2025. The JEE Main 2025 is held for two papers – paper 1 (BE/ BTech) and paper 2 (B Arch and B Planning).
JEE Main 2025 Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for JEE Main 2025 Exam, candidates must fulfil the following requirements:
Age Limit
- There is no age limit for appearing in JEE Main. However, candidates must meet the age requirements set by the institutions they wish to apply.
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have passed class 12th (or equivalent) in 2023, 2024, or be appearing in 2025.
Subjects Required
- For B.E/B.Tech: Mathematics, Physics, and any one of Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational Subject.

How to Apply for JEE Main 2025 Session 2 ?
As the January session is over, NTA has started registration for the JEE Main 2025 April session. The JEE Main 2025 session 2 form has been available from 1st February to 25th February 2025. Applicants can submit the form on the official website at jeemain.nta.ac.in.
Follow these steps for JEE (Main) 2025 Session 2 Registration:-
- Go to the NTA JEE Main website https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/
- On the homepage, click on the link labeled ‘Registration for JEE (Main) 2025 Session-2’
- Candidates appearing for JEE Main 2025 Session 2 are required to log in with their previous Application Number and Password as provided in Session 1.
- Complete the application process by entering all required personal, academic, and contacts details.
- Upload scanned images of your recent passport-sized photograph and signature.
- Pay the examination fee through the available online payment methods.
- Submit the form, download and print the confirmation page for your records.
