Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Bodoland 2023:Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is also known as JNV School. There are a total of 4 Navodaya schools in BTR.
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya: Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is a residential central school run by the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS). JNVs provide free residential quality education to talented students from Class VI to XII. As per the National Education Policy 1986 of the Indian Government, one JNV was to be established in each district of the country. Till now there are a total of 649 JNVs are functional in the country. Among the 649 JNVs, 24 JNVs are in Assam.
JNV Schools in Bodoland 2023: Each Navodaya Vidyalaya is a Co-Ed residential institution that provides free boarding and lodging, free school uniforms, textbooks, stationery and free rail/bus fare to students. However, a nominal fee of Rs. 600 per month is charged from the students of Classes IX to XII as Vidyalaya Vikas Nidhi except the students of the following exempted category.
