Assam Holiday List 2023: The Govt of Assam has published the list of holidays for the Assam state for 2023. The citizens of Assam can check the holiday list in detail and plan their year accordingly. During the holiday days, all the Assam government institutions – Govt. Offices, Schools, Colleges, Universities, Assam Govt Undertaking organizations, and Corporation Offices remain closed. Even a few private organizations follow a few of the holidays declared.

Here, the Assam govt has a special request to Educational institutions and Medical/Engineering colleges that they don’t follow the whole holidays declared by them; instead, they create their Academic Calendars with decreasing holidays. So for educational holiday lists 2023, such as – Assam school holiday list 2023 | Assam College holiday list 2023 | Assam University holiday list 2023 | Assam Engineering holiday list 2023 | Assam Medical holiday list 2022, the students do need to check their academic calendars and notices of the institutes from time to time.
Assam Govt Holiday List 2023 (38)
Below is the date-wise and month-wise holiday list for 2023 in the state of Assam. There is a total of 38 Holidays declared. Out of these 38 holidays, 7 fall on Sundays (which are by default holidays), and 1 falls on the 4th Sunday, which again is by default holiday for the govt employee. For some, 30 days of holidays in Assam 2023 are effective for them.

Additional Holidays 2023 (1/2)
- Except for the Kamrup (M) district, the district’s Deputy Commissioner (DC) is allowed to declare any one day as a Local Holiday. The Holiday should be of local significance to the people living within the district.
- For the Kamrup (M) district, the General Administration Department (GAD) can declare 2 Local Holidays.
