The Assam Bhaibav Award carries a financial component of Rs. 5 lakh with a citation or certificate or medal.

- They will be provided free accommodation in State Government Circuit Houses, Guest Houses, and Assam Bhawans.

On 16 January 2024 at a press conference, the Chief Minister of Assam Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma revealed the winner of the highest civilian Award Assam Baibhav Award 2023. Former Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi will be conferred with the prestigious highest civilian award the Assam Baibhav Award 2023 in the field of Law and Justice. He is the 46th Chief Justice of India.
Former Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi commenced his legal journey on 28 August 1978. His significant contributions include serving as a permanent judge of the Gauhati High Court from 28 February 2001. The pinnacle of his tenure saw the historic verdict in the Ram Jananmbhumi – Babri Masjid title suit during his Chief Justice term in the Supreme Court of India.
Currently, Ranjan Gogoi holds the position of a Rajya Sabha Member, nominated by President Ram Nath Kovind on 16 March 2020.
