CLAT Eligibility Criteria 2026
CLAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria: The Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLUs) has prescribed specific eligibility criteria for candidates appearing in CLAT 2026. Applicants must fulfill the following requirements for UG and PG law programs:
For UG Program (5-Year Integrated LLB)
- Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent examination from a recognized board.
- Minimum Marks Required:
- General/OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI: 45% marks
- SC/ST: 40% marks
- Age Limit:
- There is no upper age limit for CLAT 2026.
- Appearing Candidates:
- Students appearing for the qualifying examination in March/April 2026 are also eligible, provided they submit proof of qualification at the time of admission.
For PG Program (LLM)
- Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must hold an LLB or equivalent law degree from a recognized university.
- Minimum Marks Required:
- General/OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI: 50% marks
- SC/ST: 45% marks
- Age Limit:
- There is no upper age limit for CLAT 2026.
- Appearing Candidates:
- Those appearing in the final year of their LLB or equivalent degree program can also apply, subject to submission of proof of qualification at the time of admission.
Note: Candidates failing to meet the eligibility criteria at the time of admission will be disqualified, even if they have cleared CLAT 2026.
