NET SHRESHTA 2022 Details
What is NET SHRESHTA?
The Govt scheme SHRESHTA provides high-quality education for meritorious SC students in CBSE affiliated reputed residential schools. Approximately 3,000 seats would be provided in classes 9th and 11th, fully funded by the Central Government.
The National Entrance Test for SHRESHTA (NETS) will be an online test conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for selecting students for admission in Classes 9 and 11. There is no fee for the examination. The test will be conducted in all States and Union Territories of India. The test centers will be communicated to the students via their NETS admit cards.
Eligibility
- Students belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), studying in class 8th and 10th in the current academic year (2021-22).
- The parent’s annual income is up to Rs. 2.5 lakh.
Age Limit
- Candidates applying For Class 9 should be born between 1st April 2006 to 31st March 2010.
- Candidates applying for Class 11 should be born between 1st April 2004 to 31st March 2008.
Application FEE
There is NO application fee for the SC student.
Syllabus
The SHRESHTA (NETS) 2022 comprises one paper having four sections
- Mathematics
- Science
- Social Science
- General Awareness/Knowledge
The paper will be based on the NCERT syllabus of class 8 for admission in class 9 and the class 10 syllabus for admission in class 11.
Selection Process
Written Test: To get selected for the FREE education under NET SHRESHTA, candidates (students) need to appear for the Written Test.
Once the NETS 2022 result is declared on 20th May 2022, the web counseling for the students will start from 21st May till 31th May 2022. The SC students with merit rankings may get selected for admission in Class 9, and Class 11 at the residential schools decided by their district administration.
