Assam Pragyan Bharati Scooty Scheme 2025
The Assam State government has announced the Assam Scooty Scheme or Pragyan Bharati Scheme 2025, aimed at providing scooters to both boys and girls meritorious students scoring 80% or above in HSSLC 2025 Exam . To be eligible, students must have achieved a first-division with 80% of score in the Higher Secondary Examination for the year 2025.
The Assam Higher Secondary Educational Council released the results for the 12th grade on 30 April 2025. Under this Assam Pragyan Bharati Scooty Scheme 2025, the Assam HS Scooty percentage 2025 should be 80% or higher in the recently concluded Higher Secondary Exams will be given a scooter. Male students, on the other hand, also must meet the criteria of scoring 80% or above to qualify for the scooter.
Objective of Pragyan Scooty Scheme in Assam
The Main objective to distribute scooters are as follows.
- To create a sense of competitiveness and encourage students to perform better in their studies.
- To motivate students to pursue Higher Education.
- For better mobility of the students for facilitating easy access to higher education.
- Enhancement of Gross Enrollment Ratio (GER) in the state of Assam.
Pragyan Bhararti Scooty Scheme 2025 Eligibility
The eligibility criteria for Assam Pragyan Bharati Scooter Scheme 2025, the applicants must meet the following-
- Applicant must permanent resident of Assam State.
- Applicant must have secured 80% in Class 12th.
- Applicant must be enrolled in a government school in Assam.
- Both Boy and Girls students securing 80% or above in the Higher Secondary Examination 2025 conducted by ASEEB.
- Students in the betterment and reappearance category will not be eligible for the scheme.
Note: The Assam CM has announced last year, that the eligible students who got admissions in national institutions outside Assam like IIT, IIM, IIIT, NIT, AIIMS, NID, and any Central University etc are eligible for scooty provided they have a valid PRC

These days, the merit list for the Pragyan Bharati Scooty Scheme is not prepared manually. Instead, it’s created using student data provided by the Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB). Assam HS Scooty Scheme Distribution Process
- The list of students with 80% and above marks will be collected from Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB).
- The list of beneficiaries will be uploaded in https://directorateofhighereducation.assam.gov.in/
- The eligible students will fill up an online application form. The link to the online application form will be published by Director of Higher Education in the official website of DHE.
- The Director of Higher Education will notify a list of Nodal Principals for smooth distribution of scooters to eligible beneficiaries.
- The Nodal Principals will be responsible for collecting the Appreciation Certificates from DHE.
- The eligible students will collect Appreciation Certificates from Nodal Principal concerned and submit the same to the allotted dealer.
- The Government will provide the amount for Scooter Registration and Insurance to the Nodal principals. After properly verifying the beneficiary details, the Nodal principals will release the money to the concerned dealer without delay.
- The students will collect the scooters from the dealers concerned.The students will not pay any money to the dealers for cost of registration and insurance.
- The helmet will be provided free of cost to the beneficiary student along with the Scooter. Government will not pay for any accessories.
- In case of a student’s untimely demise, the legal guardian may/ may not choose to collect the scooter.
- The beneficiaries of the Dr. Bani Kanta Kakati Merit Award under Pragyan Bharati scheme shall not be eligible for the Nijut Moina Scheme. However, if any Girl beneficiary opts out of the Banikanta Kakati Award, she can apply for the Nijut Moina Scheme
