CBSE Merit Scholarship 2023 Notification: The CBSE Merit Scholarship 2023 Notification is out. The eligible students are invited to apply for the CBSE Scholarship 2023. As per the notification, the online application for Single Child Scholarship 2023 started on 23 September 2023 and the last date to apply is 18 October 2023. Eligible students can submit their online CBSE Scholarship form on or before the closing date.

Single Girl Child Scholarship 2023: The CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme provides scholarships to deserving single girl students, who are the only children of their parents. The scheme is aimed to recognize the efforts of the parents in promoting education among girls and to provide encouragement to deserving students.

CBSE Merit Scholarship Eligibility

CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship Eligibility: The applicants must meet the eligibility criteria to apply for the CBSE Merit Scholarship.

1. The applicant must be the single girl child of her family.
2. Candidates must have secured 60% or above marks in the CBSE class X examination and they must be studying in Class Xi & XII in a school affiliated to the CBSE Board.
3. The tuition fee of candidates must not be more than Rs. 1,500 per month during the academic year.

Note: NRI applicants of the Board are also eligible for the award. The tuition fee for the NRIs has been decided maximum of Rs. 6,000 per month.

CBSE Merit Scholarship Amount

CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship Amount: The girl students selected for CBSE Merit Scholarship 2023 will be awarded Rs. 500 per month.

Note: The Scholarship will be awarded under the scheme paid for a maximum period of two years

1. Visit the CBSE Official Website @cbse.gov.in
2. Click on “Main Website”
3. Scroll down and click “Single Girl Child Scholarship X 2023”
4. Click on the “Guideline and Application Forms for Single Child Scholarship X 2023/Apply Online
5. Choose the type of scholarship and Click “Apply Online”
6. Students can log in by using Class X Roll no and Date of Birth
7. Fill out the application form carefully
8. Once the application process is completed print the confirmation page for future use.

Selection Process

Scholarship for Single Girl Child after 10th Selection Process: The selection for One Girl Child Scholarship 2023 will be made through the percentage of class 10 examination.

• Students must have passed the Class X examination from the CBSE and secured a minimum of 60% marks.

For Renewal:

• Candidates must received the CBSE Single Girl Child Merit Scholarship last year
• Candidate must be a student of CBSE in class XI in the previous year and scored 50% or above marks in class XI and promoted to class XII
• Candidate must be in Class XI & XII from CBSE-affiliated Schools
• Students (Girls) will be the only child of their parents.
• Tuition Fee must be not more than Rs. 15,000 per month in class X and 10% enhancement for Class XI and XII.
• All the applications must be verified from the present school where the student is studying
