Disability Scholarship 2025-26: The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD), under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India (GOI), has officially released the 2025 Assam Disability Scolarship NSP Scholarship 2025-26 notification for Pre-Matric, Post-Matric, and Top Class Education schemes.

- Top Class Education Scholarship (for Graduate/Postgraduate courses in premier institutions)
According to the official notification, the last date to apply for Pre Matric Disability Scholarship is 30 August 2025, while the Post-Matric and Top Class Education Scholarship last date is 31 October 2025.
Disability Scholarship Eligibility | NSP Disability Scholarship 2025 Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for Scholarship for differently abbled students, applicants must be a permanent resident of India. To apply for the National Scholarship Portal disability scholarship 2025, students must:
- Have a benchmark disability of 40% or above with a valid certificate or UDID card.
- Be studying in Class 9 or above in a recognized institution.
Income Limit:
- For Pre-Matric and Post-Matric Scholarship 2025-26, annual parental income must not exceed Rs. 2.5 lakh.
- For Top Class Scholarship 2025, the income limit is Rs. 8 lakh per annum.
Students must submit an income certificate from the Circle Officer of the respective Revenue Circle.

About Disability Scholarship 2025
To provide quality education to differently abbled students, the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Government of India is implementing “Scheme of Scholarships for Students with Disabilities” with following six components:
- Pre-matric Scholarship (For Classes IX and X)
- Post-matric Scholarship (For Class XI to Post-Graduate Degree/Diploma)
- Top Class Education (For Graduate and Post-Graduate Degree/Diploma in notified institutes of excellence in education)
- National Overseas Scholarship (For Master’s Degree/Ph.D. in Institutions/Colleges/Universities abroad)
- National Fellowship (For M. Phil and Ph.D. in Indian Universities)
- Free Coaching (For recruitment examinations for Group A, B and C posts and entrance examinations for admission to various technical and professional courses).
How to Apply NSP Scholarship for Disabled Students 2025
The application process for the NSP scholarship for disabled students is as follows:-
- One Time Registration (OTR) is mandatory for applying.
- Students need to register on the NSP https://scholarships.gov.in/ by providing basic personal and academic details.
- After registration, students must fill out the scholarship application form by providing OTR No. and Password.
- Upload the required documents and submit it online.
NOTE:
1. The students who applied for the scholarship last year already received a reference id through registered Mobile No. to generate OTR.
2. Aadhar is mandatory for all the applicants. However for minor applicants who apply without Aadhaar, parents or legal guardian’s Aadhaar is mandatory.
