Pramod Boro Biography: Early Life, Education, Family & Political Career
Pramod Boro Early Life: Pramod Boro was born on 1 March 1975 in a struggling agricultural family at Tamulpur in the Baksa district of the BTR Region in Assam. During his childhood, he faced many problems due to poor financial conditions. He is the son of Ghanashyam Boro, who was a farmer.
Pramod Boro Education Qualification: Pramaod Boro is a Graduate. He has faced many problems during school due to poor financial conditions. He started his lower primary education at his village school. Later he went to Tamulpur Higher Secondary School for his upper primary and matriculation exam.
Then, he went to Guwahati College for a degree course, but due to economic constraints, he left the college to earn money for a living. As per the sources from Wikipedia, Pramod Boro used to work as a daily wager and rickshaw puller. He even went to coal mining in Meghalaya with his friends.
After a few months, he returned home to pursue his studies at Rangia College and completed his degree in 1994.

Bodoland Movement and Pramod Boro: Pramod Boro was an active leader with the Bodo Student’s Union and their activities in different social-political movements in Assam since his school days. In his school days the ‘Bodoland Movement’ started for the separation of Bodoland as a state under the leadership of then President of ABSU, Late Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma in 1987. As an active leader of student union, in the field of social movements, Pramod Boro joined the movement along with his fellow students.
His involvement with the Bodoland Movement didn’t end there, in the later days he was elected as the President of ABSU in Kamrup District Committee in 1997. He was given greater responsibility as a Central Committee member of the All Bodo Students Union.
He tirelessly worked as the Assistant General Secretary and as the Vice President of the ABSU before he was elevated to the position of President of the All Bodo Students Union (ABSU).

Pramod Boro: Political Journey
Political Timeline of Pramod Boro: United People’s Party Liberation (UPPL) was formed on 5 August 2015, by Urkhao Gwra Brahma as the Founder President of the Party under the banner of Bodoland Movement groups at that time. CEM Pramod Boro joined the UPPL Party at the 4th Annual Convention held at Bijni in February 2020. After Joining the UPPL Part he stepped down as the President of All Bodo Students Union (ABSU).
In BTC Election 2020, Pramod Boro won MCLA seats from both the Koklabar and Goibari Constituency. Later, he resigned from the Koklabari constituency seat and represented the Goibari constituency. In his presidentship, UPPL Party has come to power in the BTC election with an alliance from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Gana Suraksha Party (GSP) and he became Chief Executive Member (CEM) of BTC on 15 December 2020. He is currently serving as CEM of the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR).
Third Bodo Peace Accord 2020 | Pramod Boro Signatory
3rd Bodo Peace Accord 2020: The Tripartite Bodo Accord also known as the 3rd Bodo Peace Accord was signed on 27 January 2020, between the Central Government, the Assam Government and Bodo representatives, with all four factions of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB), United Bodo People’s Organization (UBPO) and All Bodo Students Union (ABSU).
At the time of the Third Bodo Peace Accord, Pramod Boro was the president of Central ABSU and As a president, he was a signatory of the third Bodo Accord 2023.
This was a historic moment for the whole Bodo community and its leadership coming into a Memorandum of Settlement with the Government of India and Assam. This MoS was welcomed on 7 February 2020 at Kokrajhar, the Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi took part and expressed his willingness to implement fully this historic third Bodo Accord and he asserted it to be the Peace Accord. In this gathering, PM Modi stated the MoS as the National Commitment to the people of the Bodoland Territorial Region.

Pramod Boro and his Government have been setting up several developmental initiatives, with a vision of a Peaceful, Green and Smart Bodoland for the betterment of the region. He has been working in various sectors for the development of the region.

In the education sector, BTR CEM Pramod Boro has done many development works, which include- Launched Bodofa Super 50 Mission for a free residential Coaching centre for the candidates of BTR Region in medical, engineering and civil services examination Departments.

Durand Cup 2023: The Premier International Football Tournament 132nd Durand Cup 2023 Schedule date will commence from August 3 onwards to September 3, 2023. In Kokrajhar SAI Stadium total of 9 matches will be played.
Santosh Trophy 2023: The Premier National Football Championship Santosh Trophy 2022-23 was hosted by Bodoland Territorial Region for the first time. Kokrajhar hosted 3 matches from 28 December 2022 to 5 January 2023.
Inter Sixth Schedule Premier Football League (ISPL) 2022: The ISPL-2022 has been organised by Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) government for building better networking, and mutual understanding and to provide a platform to the youths in the field of sports across the northeastern region of India.
