What is Bodofa UN Brahma Super 50 Engineering?
The residents of BTR can avail the best IIT JEE coaching for FREE under the scheme of “Bodofa UN Brahma Super 50 Mission“, the initiative of the BTR government to honor the student leader and former ABSU president, the Father of Bodos, the late Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma.
Under this BTR Super50 Engineering project, 50 students for engineering entrance exams (IIT-JEE) are selected through a selection entrance test conducted by the BTR government. These 50 students will be selected from the 5 districts of the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), namely:
- Kokrajhar
- Chirang
- Baksa
- Udalguri
- Tamulpur
Note: Tamulpur district temporarily ceased to exist and is now part of the Baksa district again. The selection of students from Tamulpur might be from the Baksa district.

The BTC administration aims to transform engineering aspirants’ lives coming from economically weaker sections of the BTR area of Assam. Through this Super 50 Engineering Initiative, The BTR govt will prepare the youths of BTR for clearing the IIT-JEE Main and Advanced.
The Government of BTR will provide 11 months of FREE residential coaching facility to the 50 selected meritorious engineering aspirants of BTR. The selection will be made through the SET 2023 exam. The FREE IIT JEE coaching will be provided by the experienced faculties in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics towards the preparation for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main and Advanced 2023-24.

Coaching Centre
The coaching centre of the IIT JEE under the Bodofa UN Brahma Super 50 Engineering will be either at the Kokrajhar or Guwahati.
Eligibility Criteria
The candidates must meet the below mentioned eligibility criteria to be eligible for the 2023 SET entrance test of BTR Super 50 engineering mission.
- Students of CBSE and State Board (SEBA) appearing or passed 12 board examination in 2023 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
- Student must be permanent resident of BTR, Assam.
- 60% and above in HSLC Examination for ST/SC candidates.
- 70% and above in HSLC Examination for General and other category candidates.
- 65% in Class 12th stand examination for ST/SC candidates/
- 75% in Class 12th standard examination for General and other category candidates.
Reservation
- 70% reservation for ST candidates of BTR.
- 30% for others living in BTR.
Selection Process
The selection exam of the Bodofa UN Brahma Super 50 engineering students is called the SET exam. SET stands for Selection Entrance Test. The SET 2023 exam consists of the following:

- Interview
1. Written Test
The written test date is on 21 May 2023, and it will carry 70% weightage in the final selection process of the candidate.

2. Interview
The candidates who cleared the written test will be called for Interview on 30 May 2023. It will carry 30% weightage in the final selection process.
Final Selection Process
The selection of aspiring candidates for admission shall be based on their performance in the Selection Entrance Test (SET) – 2023 . The written test will carry 70% weightage and Interview 30% weightage. Based on the score, top ten candidates from each district will be selected. There will be equal distribution of Male and Female Candidates to maintain gender equality (50% boys and 50% girls)
