FREE Training for SC/ST Students 2023 Overview
12th passed and planning to take computer courses from the government institutions to enhance your computer skill, increasing your chances of grabbing a job. There are free computer courses from NIELIT for the SC and ST students of Assam, and you can take admission and computer the course either in 6 months or a year based on your course.
Being from the ST and SC community, you can also use the FREE special coaching scheme launched to help ST/SC students prepare for the entrance or competitive exam.
The National Career Service Centre (NCSC) for SC/ST, Guwahati, under the Directorate General of Employment, Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India, is offering the FREE special coaching scheme and FREE computer program through the NIELIT.

National Career Service Centre for SC/STs offers the following courses free of cost for SC/STs job seekers at Guwahati, Tezpur, Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Majuli, Kokrajhar and Silchar. The candidate is entitled to a stipend of Rs.1000 along with books and stationeries during the course.

National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) is offering the maximum of the courses offered under the FREE training scheme offered. NIELIT is offering computer based courses from Certificate to Diploma level courses free of cost. The students who wants to learn computer FREE of cost can enroll themselves in the above mentioned computer courses.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: To avail the NIELIT Free course training and one course from other institute, the SC candidate and the ST candidates educational qualification should be class 12 passed.
Age Limit: The age limit can be 18-30 years but only for special coaching scheme the age limit can be 18-27.
Selection Process NIELIT free Training
- The family income of the candidate should be below 3 lakhs annually.
- Applicants should have their Assam Employment Exchange Number and also register themselves on the NCS portal.
How to take Admission NIELIT SC/ST free course 2023?
If you belong to ST/SC and have completed class 12, you can claim the free training with stipends. To take NEILIT admission, you must visit the 7 NEILIT centers mentioned above and register your name for the course.
