The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has announced that Bhubaneswar and Guwahati are set to host India’s first two home matches in the second round of the qualification process for the FIFA World Cup 2026 and AFC Asian Cup 2027.
The Blue Tigers will start their match with an away match in Kuwait on November 16, followed by first home match against champions of 2019 AFC Asian Cup, Qatar, at Bhubaneswar’s Kalinga Stadium just five days later.
India’s second home fixture on March 26 will be played against Afghanistan at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Guwahati.
The details for India’s thirst home match against Kuwait scheduled on June 6, will be confirmed at a later date.
