Bodofa Remembrance Day
The death anniversary of Bodofa has been observed by the Bodos every year for decades, known as Bodofa Day. Starting in 2025, Bodofa Day will be celebrated across the entire state of Assam as Bodofa Remembrance Day.
At the 57th ABSU Annual Conference 2025, Union Minister Shri Amit Shah of the Ministry of Home Affairs and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma made a significant announcement. They declared that May 1, the death anniversary of Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma, will now be observed as Bodofa Remembrance Day across Assam.
Additionally, the Bodofa Cemetery is set to be upgraded in the near future.This day will pay tribute to his leadership and contributions to the Bodo community. It is a time to remember his efforts for peace and unity.
