- The ex-BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary laid the foundation stone of Udalguri Engineering College on 9 Feb 2021.
- As per the Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) Component: New Colleges (Professional), RUSA 1.0., Assam state govt. got the approval of Udalguri Engineering College on 10 Dec 2014.
- Udalguri Engineering College Location: The New Professional College (Engineering College) in Udalguri is located at Nalkhamara Village, Ambagaon Mouza under Udalguri Rev. Circle, Udalguri district of Assam covering an area of 32 Bighas 2 Katha 10 Lecha (10.74 acres). The site of the college is situated at a distance of approximately 10 Kms from the district headquarter (Udalguri town).
- It’s almost been a decade; no proper update is there about Udalguri engineering college whether, it is functioning or not, but as per RUSA 1.0 (link shared above), Udalguri Engineering College was digitally launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India on 3rd Feb 2019. Now we really don’t know what it actually means by digitally launched as all the people of Udalguri and the whole Bodoland people are looking forward to the fully functional Udalguri Engineering College.

Tamulpur is a newly created district of Assam, and it was carved out of the Baksa district, where we have the Baksa Polytechnic. Since the district is new, there are no engineering colleges and no Polytechnic college in Tamulpur.
