Age Limit
Agniveer Age Limit: Candidate should be born between 1 November 2002 to 30 April 2006
Agniveer Marital Status: Only unmarried Indian male and female candidates are eligible for enrolment as Agniveer in India. Candidates must give a certificate of being ‘unmarried’ at enrolment. Agniveers shall not be permitted to marry during their four-year tenure in India. A candidate shall be dismissed from service if they marry during their tenure or are found to be already married despite giving a certificate of being unmarried.
Agniveer SSR Salary
Agniveers will be paid a package of ₹30,000 per month with a fixed yearly increment. In addition, risk and hardship, dress, and travel allowances will be paid.
Agniveers shall be given a one-time Seva Nidhi package comprising their monthly contribution along with a matching contribution by the Government on completion of their engagement period, as indicated below:

Stage 1
- Shortlisting: Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET) will be conducted through an All India Computer-based examination to shortlist candidates. Shortlisting will be based on marks obtained in the INET computer-based examination.
INET Computer Based Exam Pattern
- The question will be computer based with a total of 100 questions, each carrying 1 mark.
- The question paper will be bilingual (Hindi & English) and objective type (multiple-choice).
- The question paper will comprise of four sections i.e. English, Science, Mathematics and General Awareness.
- The standard of the question paper will be that of 10+2. Syllabus & sample papers for the examination
Negative Marking: There will be a penalty (negative marking) for wrong answers given by a candidate. There are four alternatives for the answer to every question. For a question the candidate has given a wrong answer, one-fourth (0.25) of the marks assigned will be deducted as a penalty.
Stage 2
The candidates shortlisted in Stage 1, i.e., INET examination (computer-based online examination), will be issued call- up letter for Stage II (written examination, PFT & Recruitment Medical Examination). Stage 2 will be conducted in the designated Indian Navy centres.

Merit List will be prepared based on performance in the Stage 2 written exam, subject to qualification in Physical Fitness Test and Recruitment Medical Examination. Merit List for Agniveer SSR- male and female will be based on state-wise merit.
Final Recruitment Medical: All selected candidates’ final Recruitment Medical Examination will be conducted at INS Chilka. Induction of the candidates will be subject to qualifying in the Final Medical examination.

Training for Agniveer SSR
Candidates selected will undergo Basic Training at INS Chilka, followed by Professional training in the allotted trade in various Naval Training Establishments. Branch / Trade will be allotted as per the requirement of the service. The training for the course will commence in November 2023 at INS Chilka, Odisha.
