BJP First List of Lok Sabha Candidates 2024: The country’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released its first list of 195 candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Assam BJP Candidates: Out of the 14 Lok Sabha seats in Assam, BJP intends to contest in 11 seats, leaving the other 3 seats for its allies. The Assam Gana Parishad (AGP) will be competing in Barpeta and Dhubri, while the United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) will be contesting in Kokrajhar.

However, a day after the first List of BJP Lok Sabha 2024 candidate announcement on March 2, the BJP corrected the list for Assam on March 3, taking into account the recent delimitation. The upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Assam will be the first election held after the delimitation exercise conducted by the Election Commission of India (ECI) last year.
In the first list had some name errors (Autonomous District, Mangaldai, Tezpur, Kaliabor), and the BJP shared the corrected version on X.
