Model College in Assam 2023: The Government of Assam is setting up government model colleges in many districts in phases, we’d like to share the list of government model colleges in Assam. Some of these model degree colleges are named Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Adarsha Mahavidyalaya (PDUAM), and two are named after Padmanath Gohain Baruah and Bir Raghab Moran.

Model College in Bodoland 2023: The Assam government is setting up three government model colleges simultaneously at Baksa, Udalguri, and Chirang districts of Bodoland Territoral Region, Assam. The list of three govt Model Colleges in Bodoland has shared below:

About Govt Model Colleges
The Government of India (GOI) has launched a new scheme, “Scheme for Financing New Model Colleges in Educationally Backward Districts (EBDs).” Through this EBDs scheme, the state government or the Govt of Assam (GOA), will be provided financial assistance in constructing the model colleges in the state and running the same. The location of such a model college will be a remote and underdeveloped area where the reach of a good education is rare, and the enrolment ratio is less.
This EBDs scheme aims to provide higher education up to degree courses (UG), i.e., it’s also called model degree college. The aim of establishment of these colleges is to offer degree courses, the government plans to introduce post-graduate courses (PG) and skill development courses per the National Educational Policy 2020 (NEP 2022).
