The IPL Fair Play Award goes to the team with the most fair play points. Earning the highest points signifies excellent performance, while receiving one or zero points suggests average or poor performance.

How is fair play award in IPL calculated?

In each match, teams can secure a maximum of 10 fair play points. The two on-field umpires and the third umpire distribute these points based on certain guidelines and they are:

4 points for the spirit of the game
2 points for showing respect towards the opposition
2 points for respecting the laws of the game
2 points for respect towards the umpires

Who won most fair play award in IPL?

IPL Fair Play Award Winners List: Chennai Super Kings, captained by MS Dhoni, has received the most Fair Play Awards in the last 16 seasons. They have won the award six times in 2008, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014, and 2015.

Following closely, Rajasthan Royals have claimed the award three times in 2012, 2021, and jointly with Gujarat Titans in 2022.
