Anundoram Borooah Award 2023: The Assam Government provides Anandaram Borooah Award to the meritorious students who have secured a minimum of 75% or above marks in the HSLC Exam. Altogether 27,183 students of Assam received the prestigious Anandaram Borooah Award carrying a cash prize of Rs. 15,000.

Anundoram Borooah Award 2023
Anundoram Borooah Cash Award 2023: The government of Assam provides the Anundoram Award to meritorious students of Assam every year in the respect of Late Anundoram Borooah. Late Anundoram Borooah (1850–1889) was the first graduate and the first Indian Civil Service officer from the state of Assam. The Anundoram Boruah Award was first distributed in 2005, and since then this award distribution has continued.
Till the year 2019, all the meritorious students of the Anandaram Baruah Award, who have secured 75% marks on the HSLC Exam received 1 laptop along with 2 years of Internet Connection Subscription. But from the year 2020, students have been awarded prize money instead of laptops. This year also, the government has decided to distribute Rs.15,000 to every eligible student.
The Anundaram Borooah Award was launched by the Govt. of Assam in the year 2005 to motivate and inspire the students for better performance and to have first-hand experience with Information and Communication Technology. The main purpose of presenting the Anandram Baruah Cash Award is to motivate students to higher studies and also encourage young school students to work hard to achieve this award.
Anundoram Borooah Award Eligibility
Students who qualified for the HSLC exam with a minimum of 75% marks under the SEBA Board are considered eligible for the Anundaram Borooah Scheme. Students who passed HSLC in 2023 are eligible for Anundoram Borooah Award 2023.

From the year 2005-2019, students received laptops but from 2020 onwards govt is providing cash awards to the students. For the 2023 Anundoram Borooah Award distribution ceremony, the student who qualified Class 10 exam with a minimum of 75% marks will be awarded prize money amounting to Rs. 15.000 for financial assistance.
Award Amount: The amount of Rs.15,000 will be transferred to the direct bank account of the students (DBT Mode).
