Inter Sixth Schedule Premier League 2023-24 Schedule
According to the latest reports from EM Daobaisa Boro from the Sports Department, BTR, the tentative schedule for the 2nd Inter Sixth Schedule Premier League 2023-24 (ISPL), is set for 27 November 2023. In this upcoming 2nd edition of ISPL, a total number of 10 teams will be participating, representing sixth scheduled councils of Northeast India. The league is considering 3 venues for the upcoming ISPL 2023-24:
- Kokrajhar –
- Chirang – Bijni District Sports Association (BDSA) ground
- Baksa – District Sports Complex in Bathoupuri, Mushalpur
As of now, five councils have confirmed participation, with hopeful expectations for confirmations from other 5 councils. The organizers are prepared to adjust policies if needed, staying watchful in case the other councils don’t confirm.
Inter Sixth Schedule Premier League
The Inter Sixth Schedule Premier League is a major football competition organized by the Sports & Youth Welfare Department of the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) government. It brings together different sixth schedule councils from the northeastern states of India. The Sixth Schedule Councils are-

The main objectives are to strengthen networks, promote mutual understanding, and provide a sports platform for the youth in the region.
First Inter Sixth Schedule Premier League – 2022
The first ISPL held in 2022 occurred on October 9 at Dimakuchi Mini Stadium in Udalguri, and the closing ceremony was held on October 23 at SAI SAG Centre, Titaguri in Kokrajhar. The 1st edition of ISPL saw BTR team as the champions in 2022, with 1-0 victory over Mizoram’s Lai Autonomous Council (LADC).
During the final match of ISPL 2022, a total of 560 Bodo women performed Bodo traditional dance known as “Bagurumba,” while 150 Bodo men played the traditional Bodo instrument called “Khaam.”
