Why were the 2022 Asian Games postponed to 2023?
The reason it’s 2023 and not 2022 for the Games is because they were supposed to happen from September 10 to 25, 2022. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they got postponed to 2023. This decision was made on May 6, 2022.
What is Asian Games?
The Asian Games occur every four years and involve athletes from across Asia. They were initially run by the Asian Games Federation (AGF) but have been organized by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) since 1982.
