Dr. Banikanta Kakati Award 2023: The Assam Government distributed scooters to the meritorious students of the state who scored 60% or above marks among the girls and 75% or above among the boys in the last HS examination conducted by Assam Higher Secondary Education Council as Dr.Banikanta Kakati Merit Award under Pragyan Bharati Scooty Scheme.
Altogether 35,770 students are distributed Dr Banikanta Kakati Merit Award 2023 in Assam under the Pragyan Bharati Scooty Scheme.

Dr. Banikanta Kakati Award 2023
The Government of Assam Distribute Dr. Banikanta Kakati Merit Award to meritorious students of Assam every year (2020-Present) in respect of Dr. Banikanta Kakati. Banikanta Kakati was a prominent linguist, literary figure, critic, and Scholar in Assamese Language.
The government of Assam provides Dr. Banikanta Kakati Scooty Award to female students who secured a minimum of 60% marks and male students who secured a minimum of 75% marks in the Higher Secondary Final Examination. A total of 35,770 students – 5,566 boys and 30,209 girls students are awarded the 2023 Dr. Banikanta Kakati Award.
Dr. Banikanta Kakati Merit Award was first distributed in 2020. At first, the Banikanta Award was only given to female students but later the government decided to give the Dr. Banikanta Kakati Merit Award to both male and female students of Assam.

Students, who have secured 60% (girls) and 75% (Boys) marks on the Higher Secondary examination under the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) are eligible for the Dr. Banikanta Merit Award under the Pragyan Bharati Scooty Scheme. The students who passed the HS exam in 2023 are eligible for Dr. Banikanta Kakati Merit Award 2023.
