Bodo Students cleared NEET (UG) 2023, Leads to MBBS and BDS Seats in Assam

Bodo Students NEET (UG) Merit List 2023: Bodo students cleared NEET (UG) 2023 exam held on May 7, securing coveted MBBS and BDS seats in Assam. Out of the 38,153 candidates from Assam, 36 Bodo candidates made it to the merit list.

Bodo students have demonstrated exceptional performance in the recently conducted NEET (Undergraduate) 2023 examination, held on May 7. Their remarkable achievements have earned them coveted MBBS seats in medical colleges across Assam.

The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam, declared the provisional merit list on July 4. Among the 38,153 candidates from Assam, a total of 36 Bodo Students cleared NEET (UG) from ST category, secured a spot on the merit list.

Candidates whose names are not on the merit list still have an opportunity to apply for consideration until July 7. The Assam MBBS counseling sessions will be based on NEET ranks, allowing eligible candidates to compete for 1100 MBBS and 50 BDS seats under the 85% state quota. Additionally, 15% of the seats will be reserved for students selected under the All India Quota Seats.

Bodo Students cleared NEET 2023

The NEET clearing percentage among Bodo candidates in the BTR region has been on the rise each year.

Recently, the BTR Government introduced the Bodofa Super 50 Mission for Medical Coaching, which aims to provide specialized coaching for NEET and other medical exams. Through a selection entrance test administered by the government, 50 students are chosen to participate in this mission. These students will receive free residential coaching for a duration of 11 months.

The implementation of this Bodofa Super 50 mission is expected to result in an increased number of successful NEET exam takers in the BTR region.

About NEET (UG) | National Eligibility cum Entrance Test

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) or NEET (UG) is a nationwide exam held in India. It is the primary test for students who want to pursue undergraduate courses in medicine (MBBS), dentist (BDS), and AYUSH (BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, etc.) in both government and private institutions in the country. It is also applicable for those aiming to acquire a medical qualification abroad. NEET-UG is a unified entrance test for admissions to MBBS and BDS colleges throughout India.

The responsibility of conducting NEET (UG) lies with the National Testing Agency (NTA). The NTA shares the exam results with the Directorate General of Health Services under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the State Counselling Authorities. These organizations utilize the results to allocate seats in various colleges.

NEET (UG) 2023 Exam, Declares Results

The National Testing Agency (NTA) successfully conducted the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UG) on May 7 2023, for 2,087,462 candidates. The examination took place at 4,097 different centers situated in 499 cities across India.

Additionally, the test was also administered in 14 cities outside India such as Abu Dhabi, Bangkok, Colombo, Doha, Kathmandu, Kuala Lumpur, Lagos, Manama, Muscat, Riyadh, Sharjah, Singapore, Dubai, and Kuwait City.

The examination was conducted in 13 languages to accommodate the diverse linguistic preferences of the candidates such as Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the results of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UG) – 2023 on June 13, 2023.
