WPL Orange Cap Winners

Tata Orange Cap in WPL: The second season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) kicked off on February 23, following a successful first season.

The Women IPL opening match took place at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, featuring defending champions Mumbai Indians against Delhi Capitals. This season, five teams are vying for the coveted WPL title. The WPL 2024 will run till 17 March.

Similar to the Indian Premier League (IPL), the WPL also recognizes the player with the most runs in the tournament by awarding them the Orange Cap. At the end of Women’s Premier League season, the Orange Cap, along with a cash prize, will be presented to the highest run-scorer.

WPL Orange Cap Holder 2023: In the previous season, Australian batter Meg Lanning from Delhi Capitals won the WPL Orange Cap with a total of 345 runs.

In the last edition, the Purple Cap and Orange Cap winner received a prize money of Rs. 5 lakhs, and it is expected that the amount will remain the same or possibly increase this year.
